Relaxing and recharging at the Mediterranean Sea in Spain

Peace and quietness. Nothing at all. Your eyes are closed. You can feel your heart beating in your chest, you take a deep breath and slowly exhale. You smell the wonderful scents of Mediterranean nature – olive trees, pine trees, rosemary, thyme. A gentle sea breeze caresses your skin and you can feel the warmth of the sun. What do you hear? Just a chirping bird here and there, nothing else. As soon as you open your eyes after this relaxing meditation you can see the beauty of the mediterranean nature around you. Further on you can see the Mediterranean Sea and the entire Ebro Delta. What a fantastic view!

What a great place to be! Really just be. Out here, and within yourself. Be aware of what you feel in this present moment. Feel the loving connection with your heart and soul. Breathe in deeply and gently, and breathe out deeply. Do this again, and again. Feel what happens. Be aware of every little sensation, and keep breathing.

‘Quality over quantity’ is my personal opinion. Quality is therefore what I stand for. That is why you can also opt for a half-day retreat with me. It goes without saying that a whole day of relaxation, awareness and coming to yourself is also possible. And if you’ve got the hang of it and want another day in retreat, you’re most welcome!

Step on your brakes! Now is the moment

The society we live in is hectic and busy, and that demands a lot from us. Really much more than we realize. The workload is extremely high. The portion of stimuli and information you take in every day is gigantic! And then I’m not even talking about what you absorb through social media and your smartphone.

All those stimuli every day have such an impact on you. Your system becomes overstimulated, you get tired, tense, your fuse is getting shorter and shorter. If you are not careful, and ensure that you take enough rest and relax every day, you can become overwrought, burned out or depressed. I experienced this myself; in July 2015 my lights went out and I fell into a burnout and depression. But I got out! This period turned out to become a huge turning point in my life.
